Dr Robert Rawlings PhD

Psychologist
Robert has recently retired from academia after 34 years teaching
at the tertiary level at the University of New South Wales and at Mitchell
CAE/Charles Sturt University. During this time he taught in both undergraduate
and post graduate programmes. At the postgraduate level he co-developed
and taught the Graduate Certificate and Associate Diploma courses in
Management Psychology, the first such courses in Australia.
Robert began consulting in the early 1990s focussing on research, organisational
development and change, personnel selection, and training. The research
involved large scale surveys of training needs for the rural industry,
rural business management, retail and wholesale industries for NSW TAFE;
and a demographic study of a large provincial city for the NSW Department
of Education. The organisational development involved the development
and
facilitation of:
- Off-site team building workshops
- Partnering workshops for several national and international companies
- Guided and advised on a complete organisational development and change involving a strategic plan and staff training
- A skills audit and training recommendations for a large international food company
He has also been involved in personnel selection for several local companies and organisations, and the recruitment of all initial middle management personnel for a factory of large international pet food company. Robert has a special interest in training at all organisational levels including the areas of:

Robert is a practical, hands-on person who is keen to help organisations achieve optimum efficiency while at the same time creating an environment in the organisations so that they are regarded as
