OrgPsych uses the assessment methods of the MBTI and GENOS.

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

The MBTI can be used for individual and team assessment as well as development.

'A team that works well together is not a chance event. When team members understand their styles and those of others, they are likely to become more effective…. As a team member, you can use type preferences to better understand yourself and how you function in a group setting. Additionally, you can use your knowledge of psychological type to understand your team mates and the contributions they may make to the team.'
                                                   – Adapted from Sandra Krebs Hirsh.

The diversity of skills and abilities required to create an efficient and enjoyable work environment can be both valuable and frustrating. There is an intangible ingredient that brings order, enthusiasm and unique nuances to each team member. That intangible quality is our personality.

The MBTI offers a framework and understanding of the intangible qualities that are reflected in our personality preferences for:
  • Being energised
  • Taking in information
  • Making decisions
  • Choosing to relate to the world
Our style of working is determined by our own individual interpretation of satisfactory results. Being willing to discover the differences in others, prepares the way to a more productive and harmonious work environment. This offers an opportunity to tap into strengths and best work together, minimising unnecessary conflict.
